The AXA Foundation supports fundamental AXA values, directing programs that promote a culture of trust and achievement, community engagement, and collaboration.
AXA Hearts in Action
Teams of AXA volunteers across the country donate time and energy, working with local nonprofit organizations to benefit their communities.
AXA Day of Service volunteer projects align with AXA Group’s global Corporate Responsibility flagship theme of “Risk Research and Education”, focusing on:
- Environmental sustainability
- Disaster preparedness
- Health and/or disease prevention
- Accident prevention
- Financial education
- At-risk youth
The AXA Foundation awards grants to the nonprofit organizations in the communities where the projects take place.
The AXA Matching Gifts program gives AXA US employees and financial professionals the ability to direct the Foundation’s contributions toward the issues and commitments that are important to them.
The program is entirely employee and financial professional-driven. Through Matching Gifts, AXA supports its people as they support their communities. In 2016, the AXA Foundation matched $1.548 million of contributions made by AXA people to 2,491 charitable organizations nationwide.
In response to the increasing frequency of catastrophic events, the AXA Foundation expanded matching gifts by establishing the AXA Disaster Relief Matching Gifts program. This program matches the donations employees and financial professionals make to disaster relief efforts, above and beyond their regular charitable donations.
The AXA Foundation is also a contributing member of the American Red Cross' Disaster Responder Program, which ensures that the Red Cross has the resources available to respond immediately to disasters. It's a proactive approach to risk management that both of our organizations share.
Corporate responsibility is the business contribution to sustainable economic growth, the interests of society and the protection of the environment. As a company whose business is to protect people over the long term, AXA has the responsibility to leverage its skills, resources, and risk expertise to build a stronger and safer society.
