If you become seriously ill, it may help you to know that you’ll have extra money to pay for other costs that aren’t covered by your medical insurance. There’s no waiting period with this benefit and payments are made directly to you, so you can use them as you see fit.
What it does
Provides a lump-sum payment if you are diagnosed with one of the 14 serious illnesses covered.
How it works
You’ll promptly receive a payment after we receive notice from your doctor that you have been diagnosed with a serious illness.
What it doesn't do
Provide payment for illnesses or conditions that aren’t part of the covered list. Check with your benefits representative for your company’s specific plan details.
