Firstrust Financial Resources is now associated with AXA Advisors, LLC

NEW YORK – AXA, in the United States, a leader in providing wealth management, life insurance and annuity products, announced today that Firstrust Financial Resources, LLC (FFR), is now associated with AXA Advisors, LLC. FFR is headquartered in Philadelphia and focuses on wealth management and corporate benefits for individuals, businesses and not-for-profit entities. FFR will work closely with Karr Barth Associates, the Philadelphia Branch of AXA Advisors, LLC.

“We are thrilled to welcome Firstrust Financial Resources to the AXA Advisors family,” said David W. Karr, Chairman of AXA Advisors. “FFR’s dynamic leadership and entire team are key components to our ambitious growth plans in the Philadelphia market and beyond. FFR is a natural fit, and a great launching point as we look more strategically at bringing larger firms into the AXA Advisors family.”

FFR, led by David Fleisher, Andrew H. Mcllhenny, and Paul A. Markowich, is comprised of more than 40 professionals. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Firstrust Bank, a privately-owned institution and one of the region’s oldest and most respected financial institutions.

FFR’s founding principals began their careers at AXA Equitable over 25 years ago, and FFR was associated with AXA Advisors from 2006 until 2011, when it then joined the MetLife Premier Client Group (MPCG). Recently, FFR and MPCG amicably separated.

“At a time of rapid change in the industry, it’s more important than ever to provide a superior experience to our clients,” said David Fleisher, President and CEO of FFR.  “AXA Advisors has the scope, platform and leadership that will enable us to deliver on that promise. My partners and I are excited to rejoin AXA Advisors and become a part of the leadership team of AXA Advisors’ Philadelphia Branch, Karr Barth Associates, a long-time leader in the industry.”

As part of the association, David Fleisher will also be named Co-Branch Manager of AXA Advisors’ Philadelphia branch, joining Timothy J. Maguire in leading Karr Barth Associates and driving growth in the Philadelphia market.

“For over 80 years, Firstrust has chosen its associations wisely.  We look forward to our renewed association with AXA Advisors, and in our own right continuing to provide outstanding wealth management services to our valued individual and business clients,” said Richard J. Green, Chairman and CEO of Firstrust Bank.
