Watch a recap video from this year’s Women in Innovation Forum
Think Big. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want. Support other women. Take a seat at the head of the table.
These are only a few pieces of advice given during the Women in Innovation Forum on Thursday, April 21, 2016. AXA was proud to sponsor and host the conference at the AXA Auditorium. Eve Snyder, Director of Customer Centered Transformation at AXA US, kicked off the event with a few words and Eleana Cheng, Head of Market and Channel Development for Wealth Management at AXA US, contributed her thoughts on a panel called “Winning the game of confidence.”
With other discussions such as “When will a woman create the next Google?” and “Can you tell your investors you are a woman?” the conference brought together entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, journalists, and company executives to discuss how women can succeed in their endeavors. The conference’s main champion and host, Catherine Barba, realizes that the world needs more great women leaders not because this is a women’s issue but because this is an economic issue.
"My endgame is to foster confidence and encourage women to start a tech business, to raise money, to create the next Google, or just to push away the hurdles that are thrown in their professional way by highlighting women who are taking action. I do believe the digital era is a unique opportunity for women to change the rules of leadership,” Barba said.
