NEW YORK – AXA, a leading financial protection company, today announced a national partnership that provides free online resources for teachers and educators through the New Teacher Center, a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing student learning by providing mentorship to sustain the development of new teachers in the classroom.

AXA is committed to increasing educational resources and providing professional support to developing educators, who in turn nurture student success.  Through the expertise of the New Teacher Center’s curriculum, professional development resources are now available to the educator community to help support their work.  These online resources build on AXA’s overall commitment to philanthropic support in education.  The AXA Foundation provides educational support to students through AXA Achievementsm college scholarships, to schools through matching grants, and now to teachers through free access to professional development resources.

“We are delighted to partner with the New Teacher Center and offer a wide range of comprehensive resources to educators,” said Faith Frank, president of the AXA Foundation.  “Teachers make it their mission to support students’ success, and we are honored to help further their goals by providing a community dedicated to the continued development of their professional learning.”

“New Teacher Center has provided professional learning supports for educators across the country for nearly 20 years,” explained NTC Director of Development, Sid Klein. “AXA understands the value of professional learning opportunities for educators and the impact it can have on student learning, and this partnership allows us to expand such supports to even more teachers.”

On the New Teacher Center resource page, program leaders, instructional leaders and classroom teachers can access educational materials and view videos that strengthen their work with students. Resources are available at www.newteachercenter.org/resources

AXA’s Retirement Resources for Educators

AXA’s 403(b) Learning Lab Program, www.axa.com/teachers, was designed and developed uniquely for K-12 teachers, administrators and staff to guide them as they save for their retirement.  AXA collaborated with educators by conducting research and focus groups to create this go-to retirement resource, giving educators an experience they enjoy and want to use. Characterized by a colorful and app-like feel, the 403(b) Learning Lab employs a unique design and “snackable” informative content that is quickly and easily digested in small doses to accommodate educators’ busy lives.
