Sharon Ritchey is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of AXA Financial Inc. She is also Senior Executive Director and Chief Customer Officer of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and a member of the company’s executive committee.
As Chief Customer Officer, Ms. Ritchey oversees Marketing, Digital and the operations centers across all lines of business. She leads the strategy and execution of AXA’s customer experience and digital transformations focused on business growth and efficiency.
Ms. Ritchey joined AXA in November 2013 from Hartford Financial Services, Inc., where she spent 14 years in various operations and technology roles and served as executive vice president of the Retirement Plans Group. In this role, Ms. Ritchey managed the P&L of the Retirement Plan business including corporate 401(k), government 457, and not-for-profit 403(b) plans. Prior to The Hartford, Ms. Ritchey spent four years in senior marketing and quality six sigma roles at GE Capital. She began her career at Citicorp serving in roles of increasing responsibility across the company’s retail, banking, and customer service divisions.
In 2008, Ms. Ritchey received the “Women in Insurance Leadership” award from Insurance Networking News and was recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance. In 2009, she was recognized as a Hartford Business Journal “Remarkable Woman.” In 2015, she was recognized as a distinguished alumnus of her alma mater. And in 2016, Insurance Business America named her one of 144 Elite Women of the year across the U.S. Ms. Ritchey has had articles published in Fortune MPW and Diversity Plus, among other publications, and she has been a guest on a number of panels and interview programs.
Ms. Ritchey holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of AXA Advisors, AXA Business Services, and the LPGA Foundation.
